Default Grilled shrimp for tomorrow

I shelled the gulf shrimp and washed them (not in Dawn) and now they are
marinating in some olive oil, chopped garlic, a little sesame oil, soy
sauce, a little oyster sauce, wine vinegar (just a couple of drops - wish I
had some rice vinegar but I don't). ground ginger. Tomorrow I'll grill them
and baste them with some garlic butter while they cook. I read a while back
to use two skewers rather than one so the shrimp don't spin. I will use up
the rest of the baby peas and maybe cook some rice if I feel like I need
some carbs after yard work.

I feel sorry for these spammers - they think people are gonna see cheap
shoes and tennis rackets and watches and go click click but invariably
they're disappointed. They saw an ad for making thousands of bucks in
their spare time on late night television and gave some slick a bunch of
cash in hopes of building a better life but the reality is they just got
taken for a ride. Well, that's just how I like to imagine these guys and
their futile efforts. Heck, it could happen.

You're too nice! I think they intend to disrupt, but don't have the
cognitive or language skills that trolling requires.

If they didn't make any sales off this approach they wouldn't be doing it.

Some, among the many viewers here, are *responding*! Thank about that
for a minute. Creepy isn't it!?

Well, the truth is that your guess is as good as mine, actually, it's
probably better than mine.

Sounds PDG to me. <In case anybody hasn't realized this by now, I'm a
total shrimp fan. ;-)>

Only one thing I'd have done differently tho' - and that would be to
leave the shells on. I find that shrimp just tastes better when cooked
in the shells, but I'd still enjoy yours, "as is". Save some for me
please? <g>

I checked out the links. it's a pretty dicey proposition for the buyer.
You're expected to shell out $100 - $200 or so for a fake watch that may
or may not be shipped out to you. Their policy states the if your
shipment is lost or seized(!), they immediately ship you another watch.
My guess is that you'll probably end up with nothing or an awful $10
watch. Oh well, there's always eBay. :-)

Shrimp are much better grilled in their shells... and marinated in all
that you could've/SHOULD'VE grilled tofu... and I'll let the olive oil
slide but with sesame, soy, and oyster sauce the butter makes it TIAD.

Yes, and then the shells can be used to make stock.
I've smoked shrimp in the shell, and then made stock
with that. Not everybody's cup of tea, I'm sure,
but the smoky shrimp stock was interesting.

I had something similar last night. I marinated them in olive oil lemon
juice (and a bit of grated peel) several cloves of crushed garlic, a
little ketchup and hot sauce, chopped parsley, salt and pepper.

I use squared steel skewers ad have no problems with spinning.

I didn't even feel like sides yet so here's the shrimp and a few of the
scallops on the grill and when done. The marinade was tasty and I didn't
baste with butter though that would have been good. The scallops were
basted with a little honey bbq sauce. Way good.

It's tomorrow and I hadn't gotten to read the NG, but DH is currently
turning the shrimp on the grill.

I peeled them and marinated them in garlic and EVOO while the bamboo
skewers soak in water (about 45 min) While everything was
soaking/marinating, I made a mango salsa with some little mangos what
were on sale 3 for $1 this week, red onion, a little jalapeno, lime
juice and instead of cilantro, some fresh basil from the garden. Came
out nice.

Nuked a frozen oriental veggie combo to fill the plate.

Now drooling away waiting for the shrimp.

Flat skewers work too. I have both.

I see you used the double skewer method. :-) That works great with those
bamboo skewers. I've only recently switched back to metal just because
I happen to have several when I finally went thru mom's oddball kitchen
tool and gadget drawer. <g>

I have square and flat. No round. There are also several potato spikes
in there. Those work well for sweet potatoes too.
