Default So, can I live without another kitchen gadget

Noooo

Had to have this little kitchen scale. Now I don't have to drag out
the larger one for dinky measurements.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

By the way, 1 tablespoon of flour is 10.1g ;-)

Looks handy!

You do know I bought one of those Japanese Ginger graters, and gave one
to sis' for Christmas. <g>

She was delighted and knew exactly what it was! The brother in law's
commentary on it was "death to single use kitchen gadgets"... ;-)

It's all your fault 'cause said grater was just too cute! I got the
blue fish one. I have used it and I like it better than a regular
grater because it reserves the ginger juice created by grating.

Understand the gadget appeal but isn't it something of a uni-tasker? I
was trying to think of a situation where you only need to weigh out a
small amount where you wouldn't already be using the larger scale.

I like it! I do like gadgets and technology. I'm just now getting my new
laptop up to speed. Finally got Windows 7. So far, everything is working on
it, including my recent Now You're Cooking purchase. And my old Office 2003
suite that one day I'll upgrade.

Thanks for sharing that thingie with us.

It's obvious. If they don't get used then they aren't really toys;
they're just sittin-around-junk.

Ya know George, sometimes I just don't care. I live in a 420sq ft

Do you want to get Office 2007 Pro or Enterprise version for around
100$ (less for standard vesrion) - not OEM btw? It's all legit and
online purchase. I can tell you how if you email me.

It's awesome so thanks for introducing it!
And it's cute too. <g>

Sis' is tricky to shop for. Like most people our age, we already have
enough "stuff" so I got her that and a pair of one handed grinders and
filled one with 5 color pepper and the other with Himalyan pink salt.
She appreciated those too!

It's sad to contemplate the idea of a heap of unused toys, isn't it? They
exist purely to provide fun, and the owner is too caught up in other things
to enjoy them. What a waste.

(I know whereof I speak because I own half a dozen board games which have
never been played. I will take this thread as impetus to either use them or
give them to someone who will.)

Rounded, levelled, sifted or just dug out? I'll bet you could get values
from 9 to 11g if you tried :-)

That's not a scale, it's something you pee in to check for preggo! LOL

That's the silliest thing I've seen this year, unless you're a drug
