It's so ingrained that probably most of what we do is for that one purpose. I can't say if we're really great at survival since we haven't really lived that long as a species. A couple hundred thousand years is really nothing compared to the tens of millions of years of existence logged in by our Planet's most successful lifeforms. > > your pal, > blake |

The first time I had it set to expire. Now it's permanent. You may note that there have been no direct replies to him for the past, what, 3 or 4 days from me? And none for MONTHS to Cybercat. She resides in the killfiles too. ;-) Do you wish to join them? It'd sure cut back on total posts! -- Peace! It's > part of her killfile ritual, called The Strut. You do realize that some killfiles can be set to expire? I did set it that way the first time as he really is a decent cook. This time it's permanent as he is no longer useful. The noise to signal ratio got to be too high... And he's a nasty piece of work. I don't want to read people with fantasies about child molestation. That's just sick. :-( -- Peace! Some folks find it pretty damn disgusting. I'm kinda repulsed when I have to eat one of those things. Mussels, that is. I might just quit altogether now... :-) |

I can attest to the fact that one case of serious food poisoning can turn one off for life. I used to enjoy red squid legs but I've never eaten any since I got sick for days with the worst case of FP I've ever had. That was over 30 years ago and I'd like to have some red squid legs but don't feel quite ready to take a chance. It's PDSD - Post Diarrhea Stress Syndrome. :-) |
