They played at Louise's school too. REO also did a lot of schools
around the same time. They were with Styx last year. There's flash
flood warnings here so we might not even go tonight. We don't get
tickets. We get close to the Island on our friends boat. It's amazing
how loud it is on the water.

I mentioned in another post we go on a boat so we don't see much
beside the pavilion and the light show. But the sound is clear and
VERY loud. We got maybe 750 ft from the stage and the anchor held
until the weather got bad and we had to leave. Everyone brought stuff
to eat and we snacked on cheese and dips all night. The kitchen is
small and you can't exactly order a pizza so the hostess made a couple
frozen Home Run Inn pizzas. I brought a bleu cheese tart. Kansas
opened and was excellent as usual. Foreigner was next and the
loudest. We only heard the first 5-6 Styx songs before the weather
hit the fan. Louise saw Styx with DeYoung on a cruise several years
ago but I don't think he make special appearances anymore. Lawrence
Gowan does a good job as a sub. A big boat is a great way to
experience a concert. When we were going back to dock the fireworks
were going off in the clouds they were so low. I must admit I was a
little scared but it was pretty exciting.
