Default Does anyone drink lots of raw juice combinations?

I have done some googling for raw juicing sites and have found that
there are many that contradict others. Does anyone have esperience
with juicing for health and taste? What comvinatins do you enjoy? Is
there a site that lists what the health benefits of different veggies
and fruits are.

Personally I like a combination of beet and parsley in a fresh
vegetable juice. Carrot is okay, but it's relatively high calorie
so I prefer only a small fraction of it.

I used to use my juicer daily (when it broke I didn't buy a new one). My
favorite combinations we

1) 2 apples & 2 pears
2) 2 apples, 2 carrots, 1 stalk celery, 1/4 beet
3) "Lemonade": 5 apples, 1/4 lemon (peel and all), over ice

It's good to get lots of servings of fruits and veggies, but I mostly
prefer to get them by eating the fruits and veggies themselves (I get
the fiber that way, for one thing). Still, if you don't tend to eat them
much, it's a good plan.

Careful to use organics for most/all of your juicing, though, so you're
not concentrating the pesticides via removing the fiber.

I just purchase V-8 juice or canned frozen fruit juice...
Much less expensive.

People with functioning brains don't use 100 proof for mixed drinks,
not top shelf either.

I agree. I have a juicer (somewhere in the basement), but after the 20th
use, I still couldn't find a combination I'd drink more often than V8. I
love that stuff.

Except that V8 is kinda pricy... it's very easy to make your own for a
lot less cost from diluted tomato paste... add pureed carrot, celery,
parsley, etc. I'd rather eat fresh veggies raw/whole... I don't
understand why people juice except that their digestive tract is not
working well, probably damaged from juicing instead of eating whole
fiberous produce... I had left over spareribs tonight with a really
big honking hunk of wartymelon, red, ripe, delicious... juicing would
have turned it to ****... like you already ate it and it passed
through.

Thanks Sheldon.

I have not yet made a replacement. And I am still working at it. Lots of
options.

Let me know if you end up with a good recipe. I'd like that.

Actually, the large canned V-8 is not terribly expensive.
And I am sometimes willing to pay for convenience.

And it's excellent hot! ;-d

I don't care for Watermelon. It's never appealed to me. I'll take a
good ripe cantaloupe any day.

I do whole fruit smoothes and I also do 'green' smoothies. This
utilizes the whole fruit and greens and not just the juice so that you
get more of the nutrients, vitamins and minerals. Whole foods are
better for the body, IMHO.

Try googling whole fruit smoothies and green smoothies and see what
you find.

You mean, like salmonella and e-coli? Odwalla probably has some
good info.
