Default veggie potato chips (since there beanitos here are these)

Since we had a post on Beanitos chips I though I would post about these.
I have tried these a few years ago and there are pretty good. Give them
a try if you can find them.

Beanitos are considerably higher (percentage-wise) in both protein and
fiber. Not empty starch carbs.

No thanks.

Hi om. No I am not a sales rep for them as if you didn't know. I first
found them at a Vons store in CA years ago. So I am not sure if they are
still around or if you can find them. I liked them then but have had
trouble finding them since then. It seems not all Vons stores carry the
same products.

Ok. But don't you wonder what those mystery carbs are that are not
indicated? In other words beanitos list a total of 15 grams but adding
up the individual lines shown for fiber etc. only adds up to 9. In all
fareness the terra chips have the same discrepancy of 10 -13 grams.
Makes you wonder huh just what these are doesn't it? Besides when is the
last time you are only 1 gram of chips?

We get them at Trader Joe's and Safeway here. They're pretty easy to
find in these parts.

Forget the health food. I need all the preservatives I can get.

I was teasing you dear, based on the other threads!

I like some of the trends towards freeze dried/fried and salted whole
veggie slices.
The carrots so far are my favorites.
Locally, there are also sweet potatoes, taro root, green beans, okra and
one other I can't think of at the moment.

I buy them mostly for my cockatoo as they are very expensive.

The extra carbs are starch. That's normal for beans. :-)

Terrachips are delicious and addictive. I only buy them once or
twice a year because I have no self control with them. They are also
very pretty and colorful -- makes a picnic or sandwich lunch a little
more special.

I like sweets and beets, and parsnip chips (not that I have seen
the latter recently).
