Does anyone remember this brand of orange soda? I loved
it as a kid, the only soda I liked because it was sweet and
very minimally carbonated. "Nesbitt's name on soft drinks
is like sterling stamped on silver."

Yes, I drank their orange soda as a kid. Maybe I had other flavors
too, but orange was my favorite. Is it still in business?

Forget the health food. I need all the preservatives I can get.

I've seen the name but never saw the product in a store. Your post subject
line caught my attention though. My first real job in 1963 was with the
John J Nesbitt Company, manufacturers of heating and AC products.

Wasn't as good as Nehi though. I do remember Nesbitt though, been a long
time since I've seen any.

Thanks but I don't have much of a desire to try it again. I'm sure
it wouldn't taste the same as when I was 8. Some things are better just
left to memory.

I remember generic cream sodas and birch "beer", a soda I haven't seen
outside of New England.

I spent most of the evening trying to figure out the hot dog
stands in NY that took so much of my time and money. They
was Nedick's, the stands on the streetcorners. I am really
thankful for the reminder and the memories. And the thoughts
of their own orange soda. I guess there were really a lot of
such stands, and many great hot dogs in the day...

If you like wintergreen and you like sodas you'll like birch beer.

Birch beer was available when I grew up in Buffalo/Niagra Falls area.
It still is when I go back to visit family.

Souix City brand carries birch beer and it's available nationally at
Cost Plus World Market and places that carry small brand sodas. I've
occasionally seen it at the local grocery store section of small brand
sodas.

So far I've only found one brand of diet birch beer. Nasty. Sigh.
