A couple of weeks ago I was at the phone with a person in Niscemi, Sicily,
and she told me the temperature there was 104°F (40°C), and the sky was
cloudy and the humidity up in the 80's. Thank goodness here in the Padana
Valley we don't get such temperatures, humidity is an issue but we peak over
95°F (35°C) only some days in a whole summer. Here the worst has been 2003,
with days and days always over 95°F and a ridiculous difference between day
and night. 2004 has been the year everybody had A/C in theyr homes.
