That's a gift! ![]() Maybe. Or not. I've many net acquaintances, have met quite a number in person and have become friends with a few. I'm 65 and have a pretty good idea of who I am. It's Jeff's Classic Maid-Rite and I'm unable to find specific location info for it -- I'm pretty sure it was off Exit 127. Watch for signs. The closer you are to Des Moines, I suspect you'll find a lot. No idea if they all sell the ones with the soggy buns. I haven't looked at any recipes for them -- the meat is not browned and is loose - no tomato sauce to kind of hold it together. I think Roseann Barr called them (or similar) loosemeat sandwiches. We stopped because I've not had one in 20 years and it would have been wrong to be in Ioway and NOT have one. :-) -- Barb, Mother Superior, HOSSSPoJ On June 25, celebrating 65 years of joy and wonder. What a great time to put the Jammin' Manufacturing Plant into full production! 50 hands would make that monumental task quickly done. Raise the barn, already!
