Growing up, decades ago, we always had Ritz crackers in the house. Some
years later, I tried Town House and that became the staple snack cracker in our household. Last week I was in a store that only had Ritz so I pick up a box figuring "close enough". Finally had a couple of them and while a good flavor, the salt hit me hard. Reading the nutritional value of each it is only 130 versus 135, but it hits you differently. Must be more on the top to reach the tongue first. Too much for my taste, I'm going back to Town House and the more buttery flavor. |

I like salt (and have no health problems related to alleged salt intake) so it doesn't bother me. But they do make a lower-salt Ritz which is still nice. Town House crackers are definitely more buttery tasting. I'm pretty sure it's not butter they're using to make them taste like that ![]() Jill |

When I was growing up in the 70s I never did care for the taste of Ritz crackers, but I liked Town House. I think the Ritz crackers today are closer in flavor to Town House than they used to be. |

Imo, part of it is texture. -- Peace! In a local market yesterday I looked. Ritz were on sale for $2.49 (they are ALWAYS on sale.) T.H. same size box were $4.99. Huh? Ritz will do nicely. gloria p |

They are often on sale here for $2.50. Keep an eye out for them. |

I much prefer townhouse over Ritz, but will only buy them while on sale because here in Washington state,a box of TH runs about $4-$5.00's. Not paying five bucks for crackers.

I much prefer Triscuits... a substantial cracker and great flavors: http://www.nabiscoworld.com/triscuit/flavors.html |

A couple of mornings a week I eat breakfast at work so I'll eat two or three crackers to hold me over until I get there 30 minutes later. |
