Buying dumpling press (big size) and warpper for that size
 
If I kinew all thoe years that there was such a thing as dumpling
press, I'd have been making dumpling more often. I found out about
this only a month ago. Anyway, the one I have seen (at Asian store,
Walmart, and BBB)- all 3 stores sell at $4.99 is this size (shown
below) and ould fit the wrapper that's commonly available:

This press would leave the filling are smaller than I like.

Here, I see some sites with bigger dumpling press:

Here is one though I only want the biggest one:

So then, where I can I find bigger wrapper? Can I use the eggroll

Make them. Wrappers of any size are not available here so we all make our
own quite easily from flour and hot water.

I think the main reason the common gyoza/dumpling skins size is so
common is because it is a very practical size to cook and eat.

You could always make your own dough.

I don't think a dumping press is intended to be used
with prepared skins. The prepared skins are simple
to wrap and seal manually -- I don't see how a dumpling
press would make this any easier.

I believe dumping presses are intended for dumplings
made from a dough. They substitute for the manual
pinching used to seal the dumpling. You don't pinch
egg rolls, wontons, or anything else made from skins.

IMNSHO they are more bother than they are worth. YMMV.

In my opinion, it's just easier to pinch the dumpling/gyoza by hand.
Once you make a few batches, it's gets much easier.
Eggroll wrappers are not the same as gyoza wrappers and do not make
good gyoza. You could also make your own dumpling wrappers. I've done
it twice. The second batch was better than the first. I really like
the texture of the homemade skins but it is very time consuming when
you add to the process of making the gyoza. I usually just buy the
premade gyoza skins at my local Asian market.

When I do make them, I make a lot, and I freeze them. I place the
filled gyoza on a sheet pan and freeze them. Once they are frozen I
portion them for individual servings. My son likest them for a snack
or quick dinner depending on how many he takes out of the freezer.

I see. If they're not helpful, then no point of getting one until I
feel like naking the dough. I did find a couple of videos for it.

The way you seal an egg roll, spring roll,
or wonton is simply to dip your finger
in water and run it along the edges of the
prepared skin you want to seal. You only
need to wet one side. Then, you fold it
over and press them together. That seals
them well within a few seconds, like an
envelope. It's basically the same technique
as sealing ravioli.

Dough-based wrappers are more similar to
empanadas, and they are pinched closed,
which the press is intended to do. I think
you'd get a better result by pinching with
your fingers than using a press, or using
a fork.

Some of the ones pictured here look like
they may have been made in a press, though
they may have been sealed by pressing the
edges with the tines of a fork.

I bought one to make potstickers with prepared gyoza wrappers
(is that redundant?), and was prepared to find it was a useless
waste of time.

What I found was it did a great job, and far less messy than
pinching my own potstickers.

I remember when you got it. My experience is the same. I just wish I
had more time to use that and a few other toys in the cabinets.

OK then, I think it's be useful for me then cus I also found messy
when I used my fingers. I think it's be slightly faster too. Even if I
save 5-7 mins that's a lot for me.
