Hey all! (I have morphed from usenet addict to facebook/blog
addict :<)

I just wasted more time than I ought to have re-reading some old
threads

to quote myself:
"Well, doesn't an awesome picture like that deserve to be on a thong?
Hey, it was either that, or crosspost to alt.usenet.kooks. I gotta
get
my kicks in somewhere. "

I definitely posted some mean-spirited jabs regarding ~patches~ and
her pizza, but I was not the original thieving *******.

I do not think I have the 'original' picture, as it was on the
computer that now belongs to my ex-husband, but I did find this:
http://www.cafepress.com/madeapizza
I'm pretty sure that every time I used her picture, I credited it to
her.

Heh. We should compare notes some time off-group. We BOFHs gotta stick
together.

ObFood: gonna try making naan Real Soon Now. Trying to get close to
the ones I keep going to Whole Foods to buy ("Fabulous Flats"), which have
buttermilk and ghee in them. I'm in recipe research stage; I have
"Baking with Julia", Koko's recently posted one, and will do a search on
ingredients.

I have never heard of soaking split peas. The bag says they cook in
45 minutes, but I want thick soup so I give them a couple of hours.

I'd say that anyone who hires her to teach so she can - in her words,
increase her tutoring business by connecting with students who need
tutoring - would likely wonder at how poor the students really are in
her classes - if she gives them low grades, then she can follow up
with a private tutoring deal. Hmmm, not really ethical in my book.

Same here. For some reason, my Mom always pre-soaked split peas... but
it's been a much discussed issue both here and on some of the other
cooking discussion forums I've mooched around on, and no, I agree, it's
not necessary.

However, the thing that amused me was that the brand I happened to buy had
printed on the front, "No Pre-soaking Needed". And the cooking
instructions on the back also stated (in uppercase letters, no less) "DO
NOT PRE-SOAK".

Anyway, it turned out pretty well; the family enjoyed it. Still got some
leftovers (I also made a Big Pot of it), but that's OK too ;-)

Yer killing me. I need to feed my family!

<whispering> Come over here so we can talk privately.

I like you, so I'm going to let you have some swampland in Florida at
a special price. I will even throw in a beautiful oil sheen for no
extra charge. Shh, don't tell my boss, this is just between us. I'm
letting it go for only £10 per acre. Yes, I know! Great price. If
the boss finds out, the price will go up - so this is just between us.
<wink> No need to thank me. What are friends for?

Then you're missing the opportunity of a lifetime! I sent my $60 K
and received the 10 million in the next mail. I would only do it for
a friend, but if you send me 30 K I'll send you half of that bonanza.

I have made my decision and that is final. Swampland with a sheen of oil
is just too tempting a proposition...

I mustn't be greedy but thank you very much anyway...

Anybody can read what you said and come to their own conclusion. I
came to mine. You accused me and I said "Whatever floats your boat,
Asshole".

Well, judging by the headers in her posts, I'll buy that. But I coulda
sworn she claimed she was from someplace in Canada, which doesn't exactly
narrow it down much - or does it?

I thought you were trying to establish who the "pizza re-poster" was?
And in another post > you voiced your
suspicions that either ~patches~ posted it herself or that ~patches~ and
sf were one and the same... However, sf doesn't "use a Mac" or live in
Canada (and didn't back then either)...

So other than trying to establish the date/time it was taken what else
were you after? Hoping to find other pictures with similar EXIF data i.e.
same make/model of camera, etc. that were posted by "somebody else",
around that time, maybe?

I can find several instances of racist comments. A simple Google
search, using all of her names, should find them. Oh, wait! Are we
discussing racist comments that AmandaF has made?

LOL, too funny Dan.
I know that dear girl "Gumbo" hasn't made any. I'll vouch for *her*!
