The curry powder should really be Jamaican curry, not Indian curry as there are differences. Scotch Bonnet peppers would be more correct than cayenne also. |

My reaction to the filling is temporarily colored by the fact that I ate something with MUCH too much thyme in it yesterday. -- Jean B. |

Pete, I wondered about that but when only 1 out of 6 googled recipes had allspice, I opted to go with out. The filling was too bland and sorely missed it. -- regards, piedmont (michael) the practical bbq'r!; http://sites.google.com/site/thepracticalbbqr/ |

This may resolve my fear of pie crusts altogether! -- regards, piedmont (michael) the practical bbq'r!; http://sites.google.com/site/thepracticalbbqr/ |

Changed to suit American restaraunt goers who neve had an authentic food. My thing is to have 'Mom's' recipe. Anyway, I have the Rum! woohoo! so I may give it try in a few weeks. If so, I'll post results! Thanks!!! -- regards, piedmont (michael) the practical bbq'r!; http://sites.google.com/site/thepracticalbbqr/ |
