Default take out cartons

Five years ago I bought a couple of hundred of these at a garage
sale. You know, " Chinese take out cartons", with handles. I'm
having a baby shower next w/e. Please, does anyone have ideas of what
I might fill them with?. So want to prove to my family that they WILL
be useful...............e.

Try these out for size (and flavor):

They look like pacifiers, but taste much better.

Custom fortune cookies on a bed of white "Easter grass":

http://www.customfortunecookies.com/default.html

No crap that will be tossed as soon as people get home -- why would
they want to remember your baby shower? Stick to candy (Jordan
almonds?) or maybe these pacifier soaps:
http://instantbest.com/product/Baby-...Lollipops.html
Something that can be used up, or saved only by hoarders.

No connection to these websites; I just googled these things.

Do you hand out MADD pamphlets at your cocktail parties? Give away
Chick tracts for your nephew's First Holy Communion? How about do-it-
yourself divorce kits at your wedding reception?

Actually, I am. To hear my Mother tell it, I was born two months early.
At 7lbs, 12 oz, I was a remarkably large premature baby. <vbg>

My parents were no more equipped to have and raise a child then they
were to fly a rocket to the moon. I won't bore you with the details,
but their lives would have been much better if they had used
contraception and had their first child (me) when they were better
equipped to deal with that or if they had partnered with other people.

In my extended family, there is a 16 year old girl who is now 6 months
pregnant. The father of this child was working at a Dairy Queen but now
he has a job working 3rd shift making plastic coat hangers. They are
ill-educated, broke and collecting various kinds of public assistance.
I like them, but realistically, they are both dumber than a sack of
hammers and their child will be brought into this world with 2 strikes
against him/her.

And unfortunately, there are a lot of people like me and this unborn
child in the world. Starting life not because we are wanted, but
because two rubes were too dumb to use birth control.

I had never heard of them, either. Google told me they were comic books
with Bible stories in them, written by a guy named Chick.

The one I read had really bad things about Catholics, which explains the
comment above.

Get a life, I was looking for food suggestions to fill the carton.

On topic. Cold cucumber soup and cold tomato soup served in punch
bowls........lots of basil and mint in my garden. Perfect. e.

I'd put in each of those cartons a pack of rubbers, a pint of cheap
Scotch, and a pack of Lucky Strikes...also a pack of "dirty" playing
cards, each card showing a different sexual position...

'bubblegum bible stories' doesn't begin to cover it. zany anti-catholic,
anti-jew, anti-etc. in poorly drawn comic form with overblown text. google
a few pages and you'll see what i mean.

I would serve candy and nuts in the take out cartons, alongside the
cake or dessert.

You could line the cartons with a cloth napkin and serve mini muffins
or cookies.

They would be a nice container for party favors or goody bags. The
mini muffins or cookies would be a nice giveaway.

I think they would be fun packaging for something like sesame noodles
or broccoli salad for a picnic.

I would use the remainder as gift boxes. Just tie a pretty and color
appropriate ribbon on the handles and the boxes will be attractive
packaging for any gift occasion.
