Default My Pictures Aren't As Good As Da Sqwertz

But he did inspire a pretty damn good meal.

Friday's chicken stew picture looked so good I new I had to do
something. Money has landed here since but at the time we had nine
dollar to last a week unless we went to charge cards so I had to do
something with what was in the larder.

No dark chicken meat but I had breasts. No fancy peppers but I has a
red bell. No leek but I had a red onion. I did the best I could with
what I had.

I used a powdered soup base and got a pot of that going while I sauted
these in olive oil and pepper. I didn't use salt because the base has
enough in it for my taste.

Radish
carrot
onion
garlic
red bell pepper
celery

That went in the pot and I fried up 3 good sized cubed chicken breasts
in a chicken rub seasoning by Baladna. It says:
garlic, basil, paprika, oregano, salt, (mystery) spices. I used a lot
because I didn't plan on using any other spicing.

The chicken went on the pot and we like noodles in our soup so I added
a partial bag of rottini we had.

It was delicious for a door-knock dinner. If you look at the picture
you'll see a pile of serrannos on my bowl. They're from my forgotten
giardiniera experiment and have been in vinegar and salt for 10 weeks.
Absolutely friggin delicious and a perfect condiment.

Anyway, Thanks for the inspiration Steve. Everyone here should be
aware you never know who you might inspire by what you post.
