Speaking only for myself, I don't care what the Zagat survey says. On those
rare occasions that I have a fast-food burger, I will continue to happily
dine at In-N-Out, secure in the knowledge that it's the best fast-food
burger for *my* tastes.

Wendy's *tried* serving breakfast back in the 1980's, or at least the one (a
franchise?) I drove by every morning did. People just didn't go there for
breakfast so they stopped. I can't see eating breakfast at Subway, either.
We'll see how long that lasts

in-n-out is geographically out of reach for me, so i don't know. i ate at
five guts once and wasn't very impressed, given the build-up i'd seen.

Dave's dead. Maybe his daughter, Wendy, is running the show. I find it pretty easy to make a quick breakfast. Easiest meal of the day.

As much as I love In-N-Out Burger, they aren't around here. I had
lunch at Five Guys today and I have to say, that was a fine
cheeseburger. I didn't order the Little the last couple of times and
I think the regular is really much better, for whatever reason. Yup,
I ate the whole thing.

Heh. You tell them what you want on your burger. Usually I get
tomato and mayo, but they do have a number of offerings. Best
to check out the menu online before you go, as with most fast
food places, if you get within 15' of the cashier they want to know
what you'd like. Uh, can I look at the menu first?

I can't speak for all Five Guys places. Some people say they
have a greasy burger, I haven't had one of those yet.

The last time I ate a fast food mystery meat burger was so long ago
that a Whopper cost 25¢. If I'm on the road and too far from home
I'll keep driving until I find a stupidmarket... before I'd eat a fast
food anything I'll buy some bread, cheese, cold cuts, fruit, and a
soft drink and find a park bench or eat in my car. It would never
occur to me to eat at a breakfast joint... any stupidmarket deli does
breakfast for less than half the price of IHOP and they don't waste a
big chunk of my time. I'd even stop at a gas station convenience
store... the Stewarts Shoppes here does 2 eggs on a roll and a big
cuppa for 99¢... they even have tables in and out.

oops, should be 'five guys.' 'five guts' might be interesting, though.
