It's more difficult to get a motor vehical operator's license. It's a lot more difficult to obtain a barber's license... nowadays there are very few licensed barbers. Unfortunately one doesn't need any kind of documentation to prepare food commercially... most people who prepare our food are illiterate... the business owners are educated and need permits but the food workers don't need to be able to read and write and most cannot. The typical cook's job is extremely repetative, it's best that they are not educated. |
