LOS ANGELES (CNS) -- Listeria monocytogenes bacteria has been detected in
raw milk cheese produced in Missouri and sold in four California counties, including Los Angeles, according to the California Department of Food and Agriculture. The bacteria was found in two cheese products labeled as Morningland Dairy Raw Milk Cheese Garlic Colby and Morningland Dairy Raw Milk Cheese Hot Pepper Colby, both manufactured at processing plant number 29-428 in Mountain View, Mo. The products were shipped from the Missouri plant to locations in Los Angeles, San Diego, Mendocino and Santa Cruz counties. Listeria monocytogenes may cause listeriosis among "at risk" people, including pregnant women, newborns, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems, said Steve Lyle, the department's director of public affairs. Symptoms include fever, muscle aches, and sometimes nausea or diarrhea. If infection spreads to the nervous system, symptoms such as headache and stiff neck can occur, said Lyle. http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story?se...lls&id=7634155 Dimitri |

Don't buy products made from RAW milk...why do people want to risk their health or their lives when it is so unnecessary? These "health nuts" who promote RAW milk and its products are totally ignorant twits. Why do they want to turn back the clock to a more primitive time when food borne disease was implicated in many deaths or illness. These people are CONMEN/CONWOMEN ...don't listen to them. == |

If continue long enough they'll all be dead & we won't have to listen to their drivel anymore. :-) Dimitri |
