Default Cabbage, mussels, and ?

Ok I have ideas but not sure where they lead let. I have cabbage, mussels,
lots of garlic and butter and thinking of dinner.

Humm. I have no other fresh veggies except carrots (not even an onion). All
the dried spices you can probably think of though.

Sorry, but that combination only suggests using those ingredients
separately. In what, I have no idea.

I'd use June Oshiro's (an erstwhile poster) (in)famous cabbage recipe,
add the mussels and cook until they open. I'd add garlic, too.

Here is the recipe in June's own words:

"chop cabbage to chunks. add water or stock and simmer in a pan until
the leaves are wilted and soft. add 5 big squirts of hot chili sesame
oil (rayu or layu, i have seen it spelled both ways). add soy sauce or
memmi to taste. add a splash of aji-mirin. add lots of fresh cracked
black pepper. simmer until everything is as soft as you like it. add
more water if necessary."
