I had never had Velveeta until I got my first apartment. My roommate and I
went shopping and he picked up some Velveeta to make grilled cheese. I was
horrified at the thought. We never had it at home. And I had considered
his mom to be a very good cook so I couldn't believe she would have bought
it. And personally I didn't like the resulting sandwich at all.

I do use it now in very small quantities for certain things, like Espinaca
Con Queso, but it is mixed with other cheeses. Daughter won't touch the
stuff though. She even shudders when she sees it. She saw some today at
Costco. Really big boxes. She was mortified.
