Default Hunt's no-salt, no HFC ketchup - not bad at all.

I tried a small bottle - hey, not bad. Label says zero sodium. I
hope other stuff starts to follow suit.

I bought some No-HFC Log Cabin syrup but mostly it's made from corn
syrup. The NHFC labeling is the latest thing in marketing hype. It
tastes the same.

No such thing as "no salt" food... all food contains some salt. What
your label probably says is *no salt ADDED*. When a food contains
less than a gm of salt per serving (or some small amount) labeling
with "0 sodium is permited, but somewhere the actual salt content
should be listed. Tomtoes are naturally low in salt but they are not
salt free. There is no such thing as a no salt diet either... you'd
soon be dead.

I looked at this site:

http://www.logcabinsyrups.com/products.html

It claimed that the change was "removing high fructose corn syrup and
replacing it with real sugar". Of course, that could well mean that it
used to be mostly corn syrup, and now it's still mostly corn syrup.

Incorrect. Most foods have natural amounts of sodium. Not all foods have salt (sodium chloride) added nor do they need to.
