My main conputer failed on August 10 or 11, and
though I could have downloaded Mozilla or allowed Google to rape my other computer, I chose to wait for a replacement on eBay. The first one didn't boot using my old disk drive, but the second one did, a few minutes ago, so I'm back on-line. More than a month without Usenet is not so bad. It's sort of like not drinking alcohol for a month. But it's not in any sense pleasant. |

Just the usual bitch slappin', name calling, vulgarities spewed, you know...things that a bus stop whore wouldn't say. |

You missed the thread on recipes which enable one to be young and healthy for a few thousand years. -- Dan Goodman "I have always depended on the kindness of stranglers." The first one was for a later model of the 3033, not mine. I cannot express how wonderful it is to see a successful boot of VM. > > What exactly failed? You 20mb ESDI drive need to fail, and soon. There were multiple failures over the years, but the DASD wasn't one of them. I only backed up the files I need for work, and now God has given me a second chance to back up stuff like my e-mail. |

sf killed brooklyn1. Om learned a new word. Wayne Boatright was courteous
as usual. Janet was .......... well .......... Janet. Melba's Jammin got unjammed, and from what I hear is on a very regular schedule now with prunes and dried apricots. Four new websites have opened with plagiarized recipes from the NG. Sqwertz did not morph for THREE DAYS STRAIGHT! Other than that, not a lot. How's by you? Steve |
