Will report back if I'm ever in the zone. I'm not annoyed enough to
go through the frustration of searching for pie in the sky yet.

Although it should be noted that some newsreaders can filter on more
headers than others. Mine will filter on 17 other headers besides the
subject header.

The temptation grows for me to switch to a newsreader that includes
filtering in the body of the message. At this point I would like to
kill any post that includes an address in my global author kill list but
I am not yet ready to configure another newsreader and learn its
filtering language.

Cooking -

A week ago we went on a drive on Saturday and brought back several
baskets of fruit. Now there's plum butter, plum jam, pear sauce, pear
butter, apple sauce, apple butter that has been canned.

I looked at the shreds of apple skins that came out of the sieve for the
apple sauce and apple butter and wondered how I could put it to use. So
I boiled up some honey plus sorghum syrup and added the apple skins. I
now have a small (2 gallon) batch of honey, sorghum, apple flavored
"mead like stuff" fermenting. In a month or two I'll switch it to
bottles.

Nice thing about Hamster is that it's newsreader-agnostic. Outlook
Express, Dialog, Xnews, Gravity, Thunderbird, all the same to Hamster.
Separates the filtering function from the newsreader function.

I remember looking at hamster a long time ago, but I didn't understand
most of their terminology so I never did get it set up.

sure. but that's still less burdensome than scanning the full text of each
post as well.

I found out my son's house had been burgled through FB. I had to learn
this through FB? Man, did he get a tongue lashing from his mama!

OB: Got a load of Allen Bros. steaks in last week. Boy, oh, boy, are
those some good eats!

Go ahead, brag on those steaks which I'm sure are great.
I'm looking forward to some of that great salmon when I get back up
there.

You got it. And the barbecue sauce just gets better with age (within
reason, of course) and should be even better than when you and
Christine were here. I may not make you sleep on the floor this time,
either!

I can't wait to have it again.

LOl I didn't mind staying in the maid's quarters. It was closer to the
kitchen and liquor cabinet. ;-)
