Same amount of work for us to cook rice or cook potatoes.

As for rice salads, try different dressings. A mayonnaise with curry
paste and throw in a few toasted nuts and some sultanas.

Add a small amount of meat or fish to your rice salads. Try
chirashizushi, where the ingredients are mixed into the rice.
