It is a large photo because I couldn't bear to make him tiny. He is so
fat. Notice his wide white girth

To be fair, he is not as brave as he looks but he melts beautifully in
the sun.

Sylvester is a happy cat. I enjoyed seeing all your other critters
too. Thank you.

I'm not Sheldon, but what a lovely tuxedo cat! My cat Persia is also of
rather large girth, which is odd because she only eats 1/2 cup of food a
day. And she also turns into a puddle in the sunshine

He is a gorgeous cat, does he stay close to home? My cat Phoebe never
leaves the backyard, and two days in a row she has brought mice in the
house. We have 3 bird feeders and I think the mice are nibbling on the
seeds that fall.

Thank you Jill. I don't know how much Sylvie eats in a day as I just
keep putting the food in the bowl-cuz he's got me trained well. The
favorite around here is Nature's Best with Ocean Fish and Brown Rice.

I think it is how the cat is "made" ---sort of like humans.

Have a good day and may all cats find some warm windows!

He goes out several times a day and yes, like Phoebe he finds rats and
coqui frogs to bring in through the cat door. Gross. He is sort of a
miracle because we once had a terrier dog that terrified Sylvie and
eventually the cat ran away for 105 days-. So I feel like we've had a
2nd coming with Sylvester. Within 2 weeks of getting rid of the dog,
(exactly 2 years ago) a very skinny Sylvester showed back up. His
ability to catch wild things saved his life as we have no neighbors
that would feed him- He made it on his own at the bottom of our farm.
Really amazing and then, he quickly got all fat and sleepy as he was
before the darn terrier.

Thanks.

Cea, I am so glad Sylvester came back. It sounds like he had a rough
time, but he looks happy and healthy, now.

After I posted that message, I wondered if there was another mouse in
the house. I looked in the formal dining room, because I had already
looked in her usual hiding places this morning. I found another dead
mouse, and this one was so tiny. :-( She is such a sweet cat, when
she is not a rat killer.

Okay, despite the personalities, you were all so sweet about Sylvester
Smith. He is the joy that you mentioned and yes, we feel so lucky.
And Lucky to have all of your kind comments. RFC and Cats go
together.

It is busy farming time so sorry about the blanket response, but I
loved each one.

Sylvester will be snuggling with me in about 2 hours...
