Been watching their 1st season on netflix DVDs. Whatta hoot. I
thought the one passed on from being overweight or arterial disease.
Nada! She died of lung cancer, being a longtime smoker. How sad, it
being so preventable. Anyone have their books?

nb

Exactly. And notbob's attitude inhibits research and funding
of lung cancer cures due to the incorrect assumption that the
major cancer killer in the world is due to smoking and personal
irresponsibility. For millions it is not preventable, it simply happens,
as does breast cancer or uterine cancer or colon cancer or ...

If you have problems with this concept please do some reading on
the causes of lung cancer.

I didn't get their books but I think I have seen all of the episodes and I
made one of their stuffed tomato recipes. It was really good. I don't know
if you can still get their recipes online but they used to be there.

I knew someone was going to take this nice thread and turn it into a
platform.

Yes, other things can cause lung cancer. however, smoking is proven to
do so, and since is preventable, action should be taken. To do/say
otherwise is ostrich syndrome.

I do, and all the DVD's. I really love watching them, they make me laugh,
especially Jennifer.

Frankly, I don't see how anyone can say his "attitude" inhibits
research and funding. His attitude is what funds and drives the
research. (I know the attributions are screwed up, but I'm not fixing
someone else's goof)

Just finished watching a new show on Food network called Dessert
First. This is the second time I've run across it and I liked each
one.

Don't know if it's true, but I've heard that
if everybody quit smoking, it would only cut
the lung cancer rate in half. My father never
smoked even one cigarette, and he died of lung
cancer. He was very athletic, riding his bike
several miles to work every day. I suspect
that may have led to his cancer, for example
by inhaling brake dust or diesel fumes.

Were the 9ers on? I'm not a football fan. I don't understand
anything about the game and don't like watching all that violence.

No, but I have their DVDs. They're a hoot, indeed.

Yes. But I used ground beef and not veal.
