Default Poetic Pumpkin?

I was looking up some sweet potato recipes and my eyes strayed to my
notes on pumpkin.

I have a recipe for a chopped meat stuffed pumpkin but it calls for a an
obscure seasoning (1/3 cup of it) liquid that i have heard compared to
"Kitchen Bouquet"

However, here's a rather poetic pumpkin recipe, supposedly Chinese but
im not sure of its provenance

"Cut the pumpkin into slices and let stand in the juice of golden limes.

Beat to a sea foam the whites of 2 eggs and make into a paste with the
yellow of one rice flower of cinnamon.

Dip each slice of pumpkin into the paste and fry in sesame oil to the
color of gold.

Sprinkle with Li-chee nuts and sugared ginger and eat while smoking hot."
