What...you believe everything on Google search is true? I'm pretty sure the OP wanted some recommendations from people here on this NG that have actually been there. Anyone can write a review. -sigh yerself- |

>Any suggestions? - Mike The only eatery I know of in NJ is Medieval Times- in Lyndhurst- about an hour from Edison by car. I know a few folks who enjoyed the spectacle. It isn't my cup of tea. http://www.medievaltimes.com/ I can't help with a restaurant in NJ- but I can make some suggestions. Answering these questions might help folks help you; 1. Got a price point? 2. Want plain or fancy? 3. how long will you be there? 4. Family, romantic, or just want some food? 5. Do you like some ethnic kind of food? 6. Do you have a car? 7. How far from Edison are you willing to go? I've had limited success looking in the online guides and reading reviews-- taken with a grain of salt. There may be an Edison newsgroup or forum out there somewhere. Jim |

I can't remember the name but will post it if I do. Good Korean he http://www.yelp.com/biz/woojeon-restaurant-edison |

Mediterranean? Vietnamese? Fancy, informal, cheap, special dinner? There are a lot of really great restaurants down there. When one of my kids was at Rutgers, we had a blast at Edison restaurants. Yeah, and it's the size of your head. I wouldn't bother with that anyway, though I did order that once. nancy |

It is in what used to be an old time neighborhood restaurant in a big white house in a mostly residential area. Long counter on the left with the grill on the other side and tables on the right. Menu was in Spanish and the food was fantastic. I can't remember the name at the moment. I did some searching and it is El Oaxaqueno on Drift Street. |

I'll check with the kid, who only goes down once a week as he is close to finishing up the Masters. Maybe he wants company on one of those treks. Oaxacan food is really wonderful. Great moles from Oaxaca. Nice pottery, too. Boron |

Heh! I forgot to mention that we ate at their glorious buffet. It is kind-of similar to (although smaller than) my favorite Indian restaurant in this area. It has a GREAT buffet and is crowded with folks from India. The food is fresh, and the offerings are frequently unusual. I have seen tiny lamb chops and quail. I only went at night once because the prices are really high, and you don't get the variety that you get at the buffet (unless you have scads of money). -- Jean B. |
