This is a new product, and it's great! For $3.49,
you get eight small pork sausages, totalling 7 oz. They are imported from Germany. They give up very little fat when fried, so they must be much leaner than the traditional American breakfast sausages. They also have a finer grind than a brand like Farmer John's. But what I really like is the balance of spices is so exquisite, much better than any other I've tried. I mentioned how good they are to a checker at TJ's, and she said they've been flying off the shelf. Apparently, I've eaten three packages of them this week. I usually eat red meat only rarely. I fry them up with yellow potatoes and onions. I fry the potatoes first, because they're the hardest to get right, reserve them, then fry the onions and sausages together because they take about the same time. |
