You might try bazaars and craft shows - we have a lady at work whose mom and aunt make them (knit or crochet) out of a tough nylon cord, and they're super - and in all different colors. N. |

They *look* like metal b/c they have sparklies in the weave. I like 'em better than the old Tuffys, actually. They're more dense, but still plenty flexible. My only complaint with either of 'em is that they don't do corners well. They're a nice adjunct to my ScotchBrite scrubber, though. I don't specifically remember the name "sparkles", but like I said there were scrubbers that looked like copper and I ignored them *because* they looked like metal. It's a bad marketing technique if we're talking about the same product, but I'll certainly take a closer look at them now. Thanks a million! -- Never trust a dog to watch your food. |

All the Chinese shops and dollar stores carry low quality generic type scrubbers, but I'm looking for a specific, better quality, brand that seems to only be available over the internet now. Thanks. -- Never trust a dog to watch your food. |

Thanks. Andronico's has a good supply of Tuffy's (Tuffae?) but they are all blue instead of orange. I haven't seen an orange one for sale in awhile. Supposedly the only difference is the color. They are literally the best and only thing I use on enameled cast iron if a sponge is not good enough. I think there's still one Andronico's in SF. Steve |

If they were good enough, then you wouldn't have to search for the elusive Tuffy. Not all Chinese stores are created equal btw. Some are just Chinese- accented dollar stores. |

That's why I'm looking for the one I like. I've also tried those home made things they sell at find raisers. > > Not all Chinese stores are created equal btw. Some are just Chinese- > accented dollar stores. Thanks. I think I've been to enough variety of dollar stores and sampled enough stores on Clement to know I don't like the generic type. I'm going to try Andronico's and see if they sell the Tuffy over here. -- Never trust a dog to watch your food. |
