Which was? My wife grows Greek, Italian, and Mexican oregano in the back yard every year. They're distinctly different in flavor. Either Greek or Italian would be a good substitute for marjoram. Just use about 1/3 less than called for. The Mexican is too assertive for a recipe specifying marjoram. -- Larry |
