We went to a local public Thanksgiving meal on Thurs. The whole meal
was great. They had pie, and since I love Pecan pie, I grabbed a slice of it. Or so I thought...... It looked like Pecan Pie, had the pecans on top, but under them it was a dark colored pumpkin filling. It likely contained molasses in the pumpkin. I was puzzled at first, but it was very good, and I'd like more of this. I'm not the biggest fan of pumpkin pie, but this was very tastey. Anyone ever had such a thing? Any recipes? Jenny |

I don't make pies any more. But before I learned of my egg allergy, I would make pumpkin custard using a recipe for pumpkin pie. I would just grease the baking dish and put the filling in with no crust and bake it. I put pecans on the top of the one I was going to eat and left the other one plain for my daughter. |
