Default Ketchup ingredients

What about instead of using ketchup, on a burger for example, you could put
all of the ingredients of the ketchup on the burger instead. You could put
on a ripe tomato, maybe some olive oil, some red wine vinegar, honey for
sweetness, salt, onion and garlic, and some other spices.

Do you think it could work?

Aren't all those ingrediants in the ketchup cooked? Might make for a
different taste.

True. But I don't think I'd want to put tomato paste on a burger. Maybe some
sundried tomatos.

Ketchup contains tomato paste?

Absolutely not. Homeland Security an the TSA would be at your
house as soon as you bit into it.

Some manufacturers use tomato concentrate, which is probably like tomato
paste.

And your name just appeared on the dreaded Watch List. That was
quick.

True. You wouldn't want to put it on the bun either. Nobody likes soggy
buns. Buns should be firm so you can pinch them.

Sounds like you want bottled spaghetti sauce. Give me ketchup from
Heinz!

I don't use ketchup on a burger, I use most of those ingredients... no
vinegar or honey. Yes, I order a burger that comes with a pile of
roasted garlic on it.

Every place in Austin offers roasted garlic on burgers. It's
especially popular with the date-crowd.

That's interesting. I chewed on a roasted garlic clove for the first time
the other day. A unique experience.

It would be better on a baguette, maybe with some brie
