Default Lard!! The Other White Fat!!

I am convinced that our ancestors were healthier than us when they ate
foods cooked in lard, and fresh whole milk, and beef that isn't full
of steroids and butter and fruit and vegetables they grew themselves
as opposed to the processed garbage we put into our mouths today. On
the other hand, they didn't have heart bypass surgeries to unclog
their arteries that were no doubt full of plaque and cholesterol.

People pick on lard too much. It is not that high in saturated fats,
and is high in monosaturated fats:

Of course, what you buy in the store is usually hydrogenated, so forget
the above numbers. And you need to limit your consumption also.

Our ancestors worked hard for their living. We have it easy and sit at
desks. Even if we eat healthy, we don't have the same exercise our
ancestors had.
