It's from her 1980s book "Christmastime."
Humorously, as is typical for her, she lists 125 gallons of ale as an ingredient. And 240 eggs. Everything else is SUPPOSED to be proportional, of course, but even two pounds of sugar seems ridiculously little if you divide everything by 125. (So do the spices - some of them, anyway.) Did it taste good to you, if you tried it? (I once asked here what type of ale to use - someone said "a brown ale.") Lenona. |

She must expect to have a lot of carolers come to her house. -- Dave "A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects." |
