Maybe you guys are just > spoiled for choice, unlike some of us ;-) One of my problems with it is that they do so many repeat shows. The other problem is that the PBS stations also have cooking shows and for whatever reason, I find those shows to be better. Perhaps it is because for the most part the people on there are not super bubbly. Okay, Sarah Moultin might be the exception. She can be kind of bubbly. I just find most of those shows to be more interesting than the ones on the cooking channel. |

Oooh I can not stand his DDD show. How many times can we watch him shove some huge, greasy diner food down his gullet? He does not bother me as much on the other shows he is on, but I can not stand that one. Also can not stand Food Feuds. That's just about as bad. |

I hate that commercial with the little jingle about Bobby Flay on your doorstep. If he did turn up I would shut the door in his face. |

We watch it on occasion. He sometimes tried to get a bit too fancy when he is competeing for a more "comfort food" type of item. He is also a gracious loser and readily concedes that the other cook is better than him on a particular item. |

The 'jackass' in question doesn't do much for me either; was watching one of his shows (DDD?) and he reminded me of a seal scarfing down fish just like I've seen them do at the zoo... FWIW, so far I really like the "Chopped" shows and Ina Garten is very easy to watch too - IMHO, of course. -- Cheers Chatty Cathy |
