Does anyone know a source of no salt cottage cheese. All the
supermarkets I have been to have cottage cheese with salt added, even organic, low fat cottage cheese. I have written to the major supermarkets to ask about plans to eliminate it in view of recent recommendations but none has replied positively. Are there small independent dairies where it cna be bought? |

I think it's 1% (low)fat for both brands. I've seen the Hood at Stop and Shop and Shaw's supermarkets here in New England. Stop and Shop also has their own store brand of it, but it's the only store brand no salt one I've seen. -Alison, who does not think that cottage cheese is improved by 350-400 mg. of sodium |
