Default Ralph's bait and switch

Ralph's advertised a two day sale (Wednesday and Thursday)on point cut
corned beef for $.99 per pound, limit one. I tried to buy one at 9:00
A.M. Wednesday and was told that they were out and had only received one
box of the article. I paid $2.99 per pound for one. I returned Thursday
a 8:30 A.M. and they had NO corned beef for $.99 per pound. Von's
offered the same deal on Thursday and Friday. Von's had plenty at $.99.
Guess where I will do my shopping from now on.

We shop at Safeway. Hubby saw one brand of corned beef earlier this
week at $1.79; he didn't see anything marked at 99¢. Nothing was
under $2.99 yesterday and today. You snooze, you lose!

Went back the next day, still none for $.99 but did get a rain check.
What frosts me is that they advertise the sale in the paper and then get
"only one box" of the advertised items, a quote from the butcher I
talked to.
