Between Dequinder and Woodward, from eight mile to six mile, almost ever home is burned out, no one lives there, that is four square miles of completely vacant homes. Only the gangs rule there. Gun fire can be heard every night from Hazel Park. They moved north into Hazel Park, Ferndale and Madison Heights to extend their criminal empire. I am happy happy I moved out twelve years ago. I sold my home for 90K, today is only worth 20K and sits vacant today. If I waited just two more years I would have been trapped in that ghetto having most of money tied in my home. Since I move out cops have been killed and murders every year, muggings every night. You have become immune to it. Where I live the worst thing that happens is someone's mail box gets smashed by kids. Yea right, what is ordinary crime? That Applebees restaurant is just four mile from eight mile. Too close for me. -- Enjoy Life... Nad R (Garden in zone 5a Michigan) |

Here's some data: http://www.city-data.com/city/Madiso...-Michigan.html Looks like crime is below average there. Mostly propery crime rather than violent crime. > That Applebees restaurant is just four mile from eight mile. Too close for > me. Well, I'm not as timid as you are. Neither, apparently, is my 76-year-old mother. Cindy Hamilton |
