It is an inference. I get that at some level the Pakistani government
is infected with religious zealots. What level does matter and I'm
gueesing that they are mostly at comparatively low levels. It's only a
guess on my part.

More likely she'd have been killed for telling. To me that's my main
reason for thinking she was not innocent.

I do not want yet another front. Like with the Saudis I would rather
work with an unpopular government and see what progress can be made.

And if the "progress" is that they are playing us while Al Quaeda puts
nuclear weapons in every major population center in the US, then what?

Remember what I said about playing us? Well, if they can play the US
into nuking Mecca, they've got their jihad. That wouldn't be a "risk"
for them, it would be an _objective_.
