I only liked having books read to me when I was really little. I could read
on my own by age 4. I can remember a couple of times having teachers in Jr.
High and High school reading books to us and fighting hard to stay awake. I
liked it a bit better when we had to pass the book around and take turns
reading it, perhaps because the different sounding voices provided a bit of
stimulation.

BTW, most movies and TV have the same effect on me. It is hard for me to
just sit and watch. They lull me right to sleep. At home when the TV is on
I am almost always doing something in addition and only half paying
attention to it. At the movies, once I have finished my popcorn I'll drift
right to sleep unless it is something really riveting.
