My favorite cookbook would be Craig Claiborne's Kitchen Primer. I have a paperback copy of that somewhere. It's a keeper! I watched a Filipino lady cook some chicken curry for my mother-in-law this afternoon. I enjoy watching people that know how to cook. Hopefully, I didn't get too much in her way. I was surprised at how much garlic she used and shocked at the amount of ginger - about a quarter cup. She finely chopped the ginger which is the way I would do it. It was pretty tasty too! |
