Default Ukrainian Apple Cake – Yabluchnyk

Ukrainian Apple Cake – Yabluchnyk
Preheat oven 375 degrees
Ingredients:
1 ½ cup of flour
¼ cup of sugar
¼ teaspoon of salt
2 tsp. baking powder
!/2 cup butter cut in to the flour mix.
1 egg beaten
1/3 cup of cream
Mix the eggs and cream and gently add to above ingredients to form a
soft dough.
Prepare 4 large apples peel, core, and thinly slice. Press into the 8
inch square baking pan.
Layer the apples on top. Then prepare a streusel topping to place on
top of the apples.
Streusal Topping:
2 Tbsp. butter
½ cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
2 tsp ground cinnamon
Mix together by hand and sprinkle on the apples.
Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Can substitute plums,
peaches. Cool on wire rack before cutting

Doesn't say light or heavy cream but will experiment.

Looks like a doable project...will try it.

By the publication it looks like great country to live in as well.
