As posted earlier I'll be trying to duplicate Jack in the Box Tacos
for my taco/margarita party at the end of the month...currently experimenting on the Jack recipe (bean/meat "paste" filling) and the closest thing I've found (or come up with) is the filling inside canned Hormel Tamales...I pulled out all of the tamale filling and added a few ingredients, ran it all through a fine mesh sieve several times and piped it into the taco shells (not quite Jacks taco shells but close enough), froze, then deep fried in smoking hot lard and filled them with a bit of lettuce and chili catsup (just like Jack in the Box) ~ viola` I'm in the ball park...I'll need to refine it a bit but at least I'm on the right track...Now the question is can I produce 300 of them in a cost effective manner? Thanks to all those posters that offered up thoughts or solutions...As for Chemo the Clown he couldn't solve pouring **** out of a boot! |
