Borax is also supposed to be good for controlling creeping charlie on
your lawn.

The bees and I love 'creeping charlie'. I use it in place of fresh
thyme in recipes.

I used to visit an abandoned orchard that was blanketed with a carpet
of creeping charlie 6" thick. On a hot august day the smell was just
this side of heaven.

I'd prefer it to grass if I could get it to cover my whole 'lawn'.

I've been searching for Borax all summer. I found directions (a recipe)
to clean my Sunbrella outdoor fabric cushions and it called for a
small amount of Borax. I recall seeing that box as a child yet haven't
found it since.

Borax is probably in the cleaning and laundry detergent aisle at the
grocery store. The "20 Mule Team Borax" box I recently bought seems to
be about the same size as a box of (dry) automatic dishwasher detergent.
HTH.
