The reference and offer of a recipe is stuck in some shit slinging on

When I find my packet of recipes, I'll post one we used. Until then, Google "olive oil soap recipes" and you will find loads of them. One recipe there calls for using a plastic shoe box as a mold. I've usually seen a shallow cardboard box (like a "case" of beer cans comes in.) lined with parchment paper. You can also use fancy molds. It is important to follow directions EXACTLY. It's important NOT to be casual when handling lye. Also, the soap needs to cure for a few weeks before using for the pH level to settle/rise. It's not a difficult process, but can be dangerous if you are not careful. gloria p |
