Even though I channel-surfed the (TV-receiver) 'guide,' I missed the listing for the show. The DVR is set to record the show, so that's a handy reminder. AB does both shows still, I believe. There've been a few new episodes of "Good Eats" (and ICA) shows the past few weeks or so. It's a hoot to watch his "Good Eats" show, and he's a good 'narrator' for ICA ;> Sky -- Ultra Ultimate Kitchen Rule - Use the Timer! Ultimate Kitchen Rule -- Cook's Choice!! |

Don't know if my favorite was the night he opened a kitchen cabinet drawer and it was loaded down with remotes. Don't we all have a collection of those? and does any of us know why? Another best was the show where he lightly sprayed a pan with Pam (or something), randomly followed by assorted members of his crew walking behind him and sliding/crashing just off camera. Did you see the show where he seared one hunk of beef; didn't sear another hunk and cooked the both of them. When weighed there was no particular difference - proving that the notion that 'searing' prevents the loss of juices is bunk. Searing improves appearance and flavor but AB dispelled the myth of sealing in the juices. Polly |

Polly Dang, I must've missed those episodes :/ The "Good Eats" show and AB make me giggle (a lot) with regards to the 'visual aids' when it comes to demonstrations about food related topics ![]() elementary, eh ![]() fortune! My drawer is filled with cords to long gone whatevers. I pulled out a recharging cord to a phone I never owned only yesterday. I think orphaned cords must sneak in there during the dead of night. -- Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground. |

If you bought it back in 1999 (boy that sounds long ago) it was $70. I would have grabbed one in a heartbeat. Now it's out of production and good luck finding one, never mind how much it would cost. nancy |

Nowadays with everything going wireless very little of those cables and gizmos are worth saving. I just recently went through a large cabinet in my basement filled with that junk and tossed out over 20 years worth. |
