I'm back. 15-08-2011 10:44 AM

Indonesian/Balinese food

Is on the menu in the next week or so.

So I'll be taking some 'happy snaps' of any good looking dishes to post later
when we get back.

It's going to be interesting to see how I 'survive' in the coming weeks, but
I'm sure we'll be able to find some staples over there that I can digest.

Fresh seafood is going to be one of them.

It's going to be good for both of us to get away from work for awhile too.

G&T's on Jimbaran beach, looking at the sunset, and nibbling on fresh caught
fire roasted fish.

I'm especially looking forward to not having to wear a jumper/jacket, and be
able to walk around in shorts and t-shirt!!

Now y'all play nice while I'm gone.... again!

This is the nasi goreng (fried rice) the SO had for lunch today:

This was the fish I caught and cooked, but I could only stomach a small
portion. Its egress was also marked by excess, if you know what I mean.

Here is the view from our balcony:

I hope you're all behaving yourselves. I know that I am NOT!!!!!!

Oh, lucky you! I don't think I'll ever be eating Indonesian food
in situ.

Doesn't look like any Bali view I know and I've been going there since
1981 and most recently January this year. Looks more like Northern New
South Wales near where my brother lives. Just guessing that but it's
not Bali.

Dear Peter,

I can see that you really are misbehaving! A close look at 'your'
photos reveals something strange: the properties are different on each
photo. Different dates, different cameras, different dpi and
resolution.

Here is what I am talking about:

http://i55.tinypic.com/2h6frxw.jpg
2h6frxw.jpg: Date Created 22/08/2011 550x368 72 dpi

http://i54.tinypic.com/167ng1u.jpg
8y6hj8.jpg: Date Created 22/08/2011 9:54AM 1600x1200 96dpi

http://i51.tinypic.com/8y6hj8.jpg
167ng1u.jpg: Date Taken: 6/09/2008 11:37AM
Program name: Optio W60 Ver 1.00
1024x768 72 dpi

Possibly you have traveled to Bali via a time machine, with three
different cameras and compressing the photos in three different ways,
all at the same time yesterday?

Yes, that must be the explanation.
