Default Prepare a whole meal on a grill?

Since my TV broke I've just been thinking about things to do with my copious
free time. Maybe I could prepare a whole meal on a grill? Any ideas?

Anything that can be cooked on the stove or in the oven can be done on a
grill. I've baked a cake too.

Have a large cast iron fry pan? Make a meatloaf and put it in the center of
the pan. Cut up potatoes and put them on the sides. Into the grill for
about 60 to 75 minutes.

Make biscuits or cornbread in a pan.

Roast any meat you'd do in the oven. Can be done in a roasting pan or right
on the grate. Bake some potatoes to go with it. Many veggies can be
grilled or roasted too. Acorn squash is very good, as in just about any
root vegetable.

Dessert can be grilled fruit or a cobbler.

I was thinking more along the lines of direct grilling.

But that does sound good. It sounds like something a frontiersmen or cowboy
would cook.

Yes, oven-roasted vegetables really aren't that different from grilled
vegetables. But I think I'd want to sear the meat. Or I could use a grill
pan.

Grilled fruit sounds like fun. I like grilled pineapple and peaches. I'd
really like to grill some plums, maybe on a skewer.

I guess that would depend on what you want to eat. I don't grill at all
these days. My dad grilled once in a while when I was a kid and I used to
do potatoes and bananas on there. You can do all sorts of vegetables. And
fruits.

Main dishes including pizza are a slam dunk, so I won't go there.

You can grill vegetables (easy peasy) and just about any fruit you'd
put in a pie works on the grill... apples, pears, peaches even plums.
I like peaches with my main. Grill pears for an appetizer or dessert
and pair it with blue cheese somehow. All grilled fruit works for
dessert. You decide how to serve them. Google for recipes if you
must.

Interesting. Maybe I"ll try grilling with some banana leaves.
