Default Any real coupons online?

I guess this is on topic.
Today I needed to order some pepper - both teli and white from Penzey's.
When I typed in "Penzey's" there popped up several coupon sites before I
moved on down to the real catalog site.
We believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny; have suspicions about
the Great Pumpkin. Do any of these coupon sites actually benefit cooks or
do they just want to give us 1% off of 12 dozen pairs of golf cleats and
give our spam filter constant grief? Polly

I don't know what coupons you saw and I don't shop at Penzey's but yes there
are plenty of real coupons online. Some you have to print off and take to
the store. Some are coupon codes that you punch it at checkout.

Whenever you shop online you should always search for coupons
for that particular website. If you see an offer that appeals
to you, you'll find a promo code or whatever they're calling it.
It can save you good money on your order or for shipping.

I know it can be done, but I haven't done it. My DD's first job after
graduating from college was at a small internet "engineering" firm.
She told me a story one time about them needed new computers and the
boss found online coupons that didn't have that caveat about not good
with other offers or whatever the legal language is so he bought what
he needed - basically for free. He checked back at the website a
couple of hours later and that loophole had been close.

Many web sites for national brand products have coupons you can print,
or register to receive coupons by snail mail. Whenever possible I
phone my order, I simply ask for the promotional discount and if one
exists I've yet to be refused. Penzeys has their coupons in their
catalog... they don't give discounts but if requested will include a
sample with your phone-in order. And this reminds me to go to the
Freschetta web site to print my coupons.

I have a coupon service that will pop up when I got to a particular web
site. They offer the codes. I have used them many times and they work
most of the time. I think the one I use is Price Blink. Just used it
for free shipping the other day.

It's always nice to hear about something that works, thanks.

I go to Coupon Cabin sometimes and have found some useful promo codes
there.

Thanks! That's the first useful coupon site I've seen.

That's a very good tip. I do that all the time and usually always find
a deal I can use for what I was already going to buy.

Jill told me that years ago, and when I found luggage I wanted to
buy, I remembered when I saw that 'Promo Code' box. It saved me
another $20 or something. Cool! And after that it was easy to
remember to look.

That's what I wind up doing, too, opening a window while I'm
checking out already. $20 is nothing to sneeze at considering
people who don't look just wind up paying full price.

Perhaps it's no longer true, but for a long time there was a
sign on the registers where I shopped saying they don't accept
internet coupons, so I've never tried printing grocery coupons.

> I don't give my email to coupon sites. BTDT.

I get the idea those sites will turn into a spam avalanche and
I just don't even go there to look.

I don't think I ever printed grocery coupons but I've done it for
concerts and restaurants. They have a bar code on them. That for
cheap shows though. We saw Erasure last weekend and the tickets were
a C-note each. They mailed the tickets as no printing was allowed.

Thanks to who ever started this thread. I'll be looking for codes
from now on.

Check out the web sites for the two coupon fliers that appear in my
Sunday newspaper.
